Arwen, full name Arwen Undómiel, is an Elven character from J.R.R. Tolkien's novel
The Lord of the Rings. She was born in the year 241 of the Third Age and passed
away in the year 121 of the Fourth Age; her birthplace was Middle-earth. Her father
was Elrond, Lord of Rivendell, and her mother was Celebrían, Princess of Lothlórien. Arwen possesses the bloodlines of the three great Elven royal houses: the Noldor, the Sindar, and the Vanyar. As a descendant of Half-elven lineage, she held the right
to choose between the fate of the Elves or that of Mortal Men.
