Guided by causality, darkness eclipses light.
The Fifth is born, true to the depth of the original art.
From the dark fantasy Berserk, comes "Legacy Art 'Kentaro Miura'," a series that brings to life the unique artistry left behind by the legendary mangaka. Now, the latest addition to this line features none other than Femto, the Hawk of Darkness!
Femto, the fifth member of the God Hand, was born during the Eclipse, which occurs once every 216 years, after offering his Band of the Falcon and his one true friend as sacrifices. This piece is modeled after the cover of Volume 12 of the original manga, capturing the iconic scene that symbolizes causality. The weighty, oil-paint-like texture is recreated in polystone, bringing this moment to life in three dimensions.
Viewed from the front, the statue mirrors the original illustration perfectly. The bottomless fear, inhuman power, and insatiable longing are all conveyed through its beautiful form. Special care has been taken with the composition of the unseen sides and back as well. The expression beneath the helmet is entirely original, with hollow eyes and cracked skin, evoking the absence of the man who once was Griffith.
The helmet’s textured surface, the massive wings shaded with purples and greens, and the pale highlights on his cheeks – every detail has been painted to replicate Miura-sensei’s delicate yet powerful art style. The eye of The Beherit is made of clear parts, giving the iris an eerie vibrancy, while the sacrificial brand embedded in the sinister base glows ominously thanks to an internal LED, heightening the sense of despair in a way only a three-dimensional piece can.
This moment, where darkness eclipses light in three dimensions, is a gift to Berserk fans around the world!
